Damn Son

Going to a new restaurant is always a daunting, yet slightly thrilling experience. You aren't quite sure what to expect and the possibilities are limitless...

But choosing to go to Beijing Opera was possibly the greatest new restaurant discoveries I have had in a while!

The restaurant is quirky and positively magnificent.

The Dim Sum are something out of this world, you can't help yourself ordering another round.

At first bite these warm pockets of goodness explode with flavour. The fillings are tender and flavorsome, and make you pick up your chopsticks for another bite before you have even finished your mouthful.

Beijing Opera is exactly like its Dim Sum, an unassuming package on the outside that is filled with an electric atmosphere that has the potential to brighten up anyone’s day.

To quote the words written on the menu by a patron before me "Your Dim Sum were delicious, could have eaten the whole menu."

My suggestion: don't leave without ordering the Chicken Potsticker, the BBQ Pork Bun and the Peanut & Pork Steamed Dim Sum... and if you feel the need to treat yourself take a bite of the Custard Boa.

Make your way to Rose Street to find the best damn Dim Sum you will ever eat!
